International Graduate Admissions

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Office of Admissions selects students who demonstrate adequate academic preparation for university study and potential for success. Applicants must also document English proficiency and financial support. Applicants need to document financial support in order to process the application.

Our application deadlines are as follow:

  • For the fall semester...June 1
  • For the spring semester...November 1
  • For the summer term...May 1

Late applications may be considered on a case by case basis.

The following are required to be considered for admission:

  1. Complete an International Graduate Admission Application. You can fill out an application on-line at apply.wisconsin.edu You can also request an application using the Information Request Form.
  2. Send us an application fee of $56.
  3. Send us your official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score. A score of 550 PBT, 213 cBT, or 79 iBT is the minimum for admission into a degree program.
  4. Complete the Financial Statement for International Graduate Applicant, with bank verification that funds will be available. You can download the application by clicking on financial statement.
  5. Send official records from all post-secondary schools, colleges and universities attended. They must be in the original language with certified English translation showing courses taken and grades assigned each year. Official records should include all exam or test results and certificates, diplomas or degrees received. Photocopies of official foreign records are acceptable if they have been certified by an authorized university, government or public official after they are made.
  6. Send official transcripts of all course work completed in the United States, including English language courses. Copies from a Notary Public are not acceptable.
  7. Other requirements as specified by your program.
