Facilities Management takes every measure possible to ensure the safety of all faculty, staff and students. To aide with this, policies and procedures have been established to deal with a variety of safety scenarios. Use the links to the left to view UW-Eau Claire safety policies and procedures and to get more information about safety training.
Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS):
A Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is a document that is intended to provide workers and emergency personnel with procedures for handling or working with a substance in a safe manner. The MSDS contains much more information about the material than the product label and is prepared by the manufacturer. It provides detailed information about the nature of a chemical and contains hazard evaluations on the use, storage, handling and emergency procedures related to that material. In addition to product hazards, MSDS informs how to use the product safely, what to expect if the recommendations are not followed, what to do if accidents occur, and how to recognize symptoms of overexposure. Intended for UW-Eau Claire campus community use only.
