Choral Union concert set for May 6
May 3, 2012EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire department of music and theatre arts will present a Choral Union concert, performing Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Requiem," at 5 p.m. May 6 in Zorn Arena.
The concert will showcase the UW-Eau Claire Concert Choir, directed by Dr. Gary Schwartzhoff, professor of music; Symphonic Choir, directed by Dr. Alan Rieck, associate professor of music; and the University Symphony Orchestra, directed by Nobuyoshi Yasuda, associate professor of music.
The concert will feature the following soloists: soprano Dr. Mitra Sadeghpour, associate professor of music; contralto Dr. Elizabeth Pétillot, lecturer of voice; tenor Dr. Mark Mowry, assistant professor of voice; and baritone Kenneth Pereira, lecturer of voice.
Tickets, available at the University Service Center, 715-836-3727 or 800-949-UWEC, are $5 for the general public; $4 for those 62 and older, 17 and younger, and faculty and staff with a university ID; and $1.50 for students with a university ID.
