May 12 'Cabin Fever' to be last Cabin event in old Davies Center

May 11, 2012

EAU CLAIRE — To celebrate 44 years of performances and concerts in The Cabin, a venue in the W.R. Davies University Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the University Activities Commission will host "Cabin Fever" at 7 p.m. May 12 in The Cabin.

The Cabin, the longest-running college coffee house performance venue in the United States, will have a new home later this summer when the university opens the new W.R. Davies Student Center. "Cabin Fever" will be the final event to take place in The Cabin in the old Davies Center, which will close May 25 and be demolished this summer as the university prepares to open the new student center in late July. (See related news release.)

"Cabin Fever" is free and open to the public and will feature three bands: Communist Daughter, Rogue Valley and The Farewell Circuit. Drinks and snacks will be sold at Intermezzos Café during the event.
