Continuing Education to offer programs for educators and health care, human services professionalsDecember 10, 2012
EAU CLAIRE — Two University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education programs designed for educators, social workers, therapists, clergy and other health and human service professionals are now open for registration.
Both programs are scheduled for Feb. 22, 2013, at the Sleep Inn & Suites Conference Center in Eau Claire. "The Body Speaks: Are We Listening? Part II" will be held from 8:30 a.m.-noon. The program will focus on how the body and mind work together to generate the healing response.
"Who Helps the Helper? Practicing Presence, Building Resilience" will be held from 1-4:30 p.m. the same day. Topics will include the warning signs of compassion fatigue and how to help caregivers build skills to maintain their optimism and hope.
Thomas Roberts, a licensed psychotherapist and clinical hypnotherapist is the instructor for both programs.
The cost for each program is $79 per person and includes materials, instruction and refreshments. Attendees will receive up to 3.25 continuing education contact hours per workshop.
