EAU CLAIRE — Organizers of the 25th annual Senior Americans Day, "Celebrating 25 Years of Being Positively Ageless," are seeking volunteers to assist with this year's event, which is set for March 19 in Davies Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Senior Americans Day brings nearly 500 active older adults to campus for a day of learning, fun and camaraderie. This year, the event features a keynote address, more than 40 workshops, door prizes, exhibitors and entertainment.
Volunteers are needed between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. the day of the event. Duties may include assisting participants with parking and directions to the day's speakers, workshops, exhibits and lunch; helping facilitate lunch for event guests; placing signs; and helping exhibitors and presenters set up and remove materials.
Individuals interested in volunteering should contact Claire Couillard, Senior Americans Day coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 715-836-3636 for more information and volunteer training opportunities. For additional event information, visit the Senior Americans Day website.
