Continuing Education to co-sponsor 'Final Affairs' end-of-life legal planning classFebruary 15, 2013
EAU CLAIRE — Registration is now open for the Final Affairs: A Guide to Arranging Your Personal and Legal Affairs class, co-sponsored by University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension. The class will be held from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. April 18 at Mayo Clinic Health System's Luther Auditorium in Eau Claire.
During the program, which is designed for the general community, local professionals will address end-of-life topics, including financial matters, legal concerns, health care power of attorney, organ donation, "Do Not Resuscitate" decisions, palliative and hospice care, spiritual care and resources for veterans.
The cost to attend is $20 per participant and includes materials, lunch and refreshments. Reservations are required as space is limited.
The program is sponsored by the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Eau Claire County, Mayo Clinic Health System, Chippewa Valley CARE Coalition and UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension.
