Music calendar for events beginning March 10

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning March 10. Unless noted otherwise, all events will be held in the Haas Fine Arts Center, and events are free and open to the public.

Sunday, March 10:

  • American Choral Directors Association Celebration of Music: Women's Chorus, Symphonic Choir, The Singing Statesmen, Women's Concert Chorale and Concert Choir. 2 p.m., Gantner Concert Hall. More information, including ticket prices.
  • Faculty/guest artist recital: Szu-Ling Wu, piano; Dr. Tim Lane, flute; Dr. Elizabeth Pétillot, contralto; Dr. Aurélien Pétillot, viola; Kenneth Pereira, baritone; Dr. Nicholas Phillips, piano; Dr. Tulio Rondón. 2 p.m., Phillips Recital Hall. More information.
  • Wind Symphony/Symphony Band concert. 7:30 p.m., Gantner Concert Hall. More information, including ticket prices.

Monday, March 11:

  • Joint student recital: senior Karilyn Sisko, Elkhorn, soprano, and junior Megan Menzel, Sussex, soprano. 5 p.m., Phillips Recital Hall.
  • Faculty recital: Dr. Nicholas Phillips, piano. 7:30 p.m., Gantner Concert Hall.

Tuesday, March 12:

  • Student recital: junior Nicholas Pierce, Farmington, Minn, saxophone. 5 p.m., Phillips Recital Hall.

Wednesday, March 13:

  • Joint student recital: Flute Studio of Dr. Tim Lane. 5 p.m., Phillips Recital Hall.
  • Faculty/guest recital: Dr. Owen Lovell, piano; Dr. Melissa Koprowski, clarinet; Dr. Lynn Ledbetter, violin. 7:30 p.m., Phillips Recital Hall.

Thursday, March 14:

  • Joint student recital: sophomore Joe Hujet, Appleton; sophomore Rick Haneman, Lake Geneva; and junior Andrew Bocher, Evansville; percussion. 5 p.m., Gantner Concert Hall.
