Continuing Education to offer summer workshops for music teachers

Registration is now open for two summer workshops designed for K-12 music teachers. The workshops, sponsored by University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education,will be held from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at UW-Eau Claire's Haas Fine Arts Center on Water Street.
The following workshops will be offered:
- "Creative Jazz Workshop: Ideas and Practice in Jazz Education" — June 17-18. Instructor: Robert Baca, director of jazz studies at UW-Eau Claire.
- "Perfecting Percussion: Better Your Section and Yourself!" — June 19-20. Instructor: Dr. Jeffery Crowell, associate professor of music and coordinator of the wind and percussion division at UW-Eau Claire.
Courses may be taken for one graduate credit or for no credit. The fees for the graduate-credit option are $475.12 per workshop for Wisconsin residents; $503.57 for Minnesota residents; and $982.39 for residents of other states. Non-credit workshop fees are $199 per workshop or $375 for both workshops.
