EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present a guest artist recital featuring award-winning pianist Dr. Deanne Mohr at 7:30 p.m. April 1 in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
Mohr, a professor of music at Winona State University, will present a program of solo piano works by German composers Bach, Schumann and Beethoven that span the Baroque through Romantic periods.
An accomplished soloist and laureate of several national competitions, Mohr performs extensively in Canada and the Midwestern United States both as a soloist and collaborator, including featured recitals in the Montreal Début concert series and the Banff Summer Festival, and she has been recorded for broadcast on Radio-Canada and CBC Saskatchewan.
Mohr has been the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards, including prizes in the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association Concerto Competition, the Florence Bowes Scholarship Competition and the CIBC (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce) National Music Festival.
Mohr received her bachelor's degree from the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada, and her doctorate in piano performance from the University of Montréal.
