UW-Eau Claire Surplus Store to hold spring public sales

March 27, 2013

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Surplus Store will hold spring public surplus sales every other Thursday from 3-6 p.m. beginning April 4. The sales will be held in the Maintenance and Central Stores Building at 651 University Drive on upper campus.

Remaining spring public sales will be held April 18, May 2, May 16 and May 30.

Parking is available in the Towers Hall lot directly west of the Maintenance and Central Stores Building. (See campus map.)

Items for sale will include computers, printers and peripherals; office furniture, including chairs, desks and bookshelves; and miscellaneous audiovisual equipment. The Surplus Store also features a "Collector's Corner," an eclectic collection of unique and historic collectibles.

"We take pride in being able to find good homes for equipment and furniture no longer in use by the university," said Erik Simonsen, stores supervisor for UW-Eau Claire's Facilities Management division. "We have a goal to keep as much out of the landfill as possible."

In addition to in-store sales, UW-Eau Claire's Surplus Store sells items through the Wisconsin Surplus and UW System SWAP online auctions.
