Mock Interview Day for students set for April 18

April 8, 2013

MockInterviewDayEAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students will have a chance to practice their interview skills at Career Services' Mock Interview Day from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. April 18 in the Centennial Room of Davies Center.

Tell me about yourself. What are your weaknesses? Why do you want this job? Where do you see yourself in five years? These are some typical job interview questions that students may be asked during a job interview. Career Services will provide students the opportunity to answer these types of questions and offer feedback for improvement.

"You may not realize how tricky (these questions) can be, especially when you're nervous and trying to make a good impression," said Jesica Witte, student services coordinator in Career Services.

Mock interviews will last for 30 minutes, which will provide time for "employers" to ask interview questions and provide advice on how to improve responses for a real interview.

Students can schedule mock interview times through the Mock Interview Day Web page. For more information, contact Jesica Witte, student services coordinator in Career Services, at wittejm@uwec.edu.
