Central campus walkway, Schofield Hall entrances to reopen by Aug. 30

Campus Mall redevelopment graphicEAU CLAIRE — While redevelopment of the Central Campus Mall on the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire campus will continue through the fall semester, the east entrances to Schofield Hall and a new north-south sidewalk immediately adjacent to those entrances will open no later than Friday, Aug. 30, said Terry Classen, UW-Eau Claire director of facilities management.

The reconstruction of the Schofield Hall east stairs and sidewalk are a part of the comprehensive redevelopment of the Central Campus Mall in association with construction of the new $44.5 million Centennial Hall (the official name chosen for what was formerly referred to as the Education Building).

Features of the restored Central Campus Mall will include:
