Priority registration available to student veterans for spring 2014 classesNovember 13, 2013
EAU CLAIRE — Students at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire who are veterans or members of the armed forces are eligible to receive priority status for registration for spring 2014 classes.
Legislation has been passed in Wisconsin regarding priority registration for veterans. The legislation indicates that a veteran is a person who has served on active duty under honorable conditions in the U.S. armed forces, in forces incorporated as part of the U.S. armed forces, in the National Guard or in a reserve component of the U.S. armed forces.
To receive priority registration status, students who are veterans or members of the armed forces and who are not currently using military education benefits should provide proof of military service to the Veterans Services Office in Room 128 of Schofield Hall. The following are examples of acceptable documentation:
- a DD form 214
- a DD form 220
- an enlistment contract
- the student veteran's military orders
- the student veteran's military ID
