Continuing Education to offer sign language classes this fallMay 12, 2014
EAU CLAIRE —Registration is now open for fall 2014 sign language classes offered by University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension.
Following is the class information:

Sign language is the third most widely used language in the United States. Knowing the basics of sign can be an invaluable skill for parents, teachers, health care professionals, child care providers or anyone interested in learning to communicate through sign.
Classes will be held in the Human Sciences and Services building at UW-Eau Claire. The class fee is $89 per person on or before Aug. 18 and $99 per person thereafter. Two people registering together pay a group rate of $150. The beginning sign language classes are designed for adults, but teens 16 and older also are welcome to participate.
Both classes will be taught by Rachel Kohn, an interpreter for the deaf in the Eau Claire Area School District. Kohn has more than 30 years' experience interpreting and teaching sign language in the Eau Claire community.
