University Communications staff in the Publications Office and News Bureau work with departments across campus to create printed materials promoting their programs and activities. Our designers and editors can help with design and message, and we can help coordinate photography for your project.
Start planning early if you would like materials prepared by a specific date. Designers and editors are busy with numerous projects at all times and need lead time when taking on new projects. (See University Communications services availability information.)
The complexity of your project and the workload of University Communications staff will influence the time needed to complete your project. Also, if the project requires original photography, additional time will be needed to arrange for photo shoots.
See the Printed Materials Planning Guide for sample project timelines. Please consult with Publications Office designers to discuss printing options available to you.
For print materials, there is no charge for design and editorial services, but your office or department will pay the cost to publish the ad or print the materials. You also pay the cost of any original photography.
